Brief Local Houston Highlights:

NEW LISTINGS Increased 4.2 percent versus Week 23 of 2020. A significant supply of new listings will be required to give a consistent boost to the dwindling supply of homes on the market.

PENDING LISTINGS 2,640 property listings went under contract, a decrease compared to 3,383 of the same week in 2020.

CLOSINGS Despite limited housing supply, local home-buying activity showed continued strength during the week ending June 14. Closed sales totaled 2,293 versus 1,878 for the same week of 2020. A 22.1 percent increase.

Week of 6/15/2021 - 6/21/2021 - HAR Weekly Activity Snapshot

Brief Local Houston Highlights:

NEW LISTINGS After two weeks of gains, REALTORS® entered 3,232 properties compared to 3,245 in Week 24 of 2020 – statistically flat.

PENDING LISTINGS Pending listings declined for a fourth straight week—2,645 property listings went under contract compared to 3,191 of 2020, a 17.1 percent drop.

CLOSINGS Home-buying activity held to positive territory during Week 24 despite a constrained supply of housing on the market— a 12.2 percent increase.
